Thickening breast milk - July Babies | Forums | What to Expect
I'm EP and feeding my daughter with bottle. She spits up a lot and sometimes chokes and coughs on it so our ped recommended to thicken my breast milk if it's heavier maybe it will stay in her stomach. She gave us two choices-either rice cereal that I read doesn't work that well because enzymes from BM are breaking up rice cereal or organic thickening agent like Gelmix. Anyone used either one? Does it work? Following bc I literally just got off the phone with my doc who said to add rice cereal to see if it helps her.
